WHAT: Tualatin Pride Stride is a family-friendly celebration of and for members of the Tualatin community who identify as LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and/or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual,
and allies). Tualatin Pride Stride is held in June, as a part of Pride month, to recognize the 1969 Stonewall
Uprising. The Stride itself is an approximately 1 mile walk that will start and end at the Tualatin Commons.
The route is accessible for wheelchair and stroller users.

WHY: Members of the LGBTQIA+ community - who include our friends, family, neighbors, and city staff - have a right to be seen, heard, valued, and celebrated. Join us in uplifting LGBTQIA+ voices, celebrating LGBTQIA+
culture, raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQIA+ community, and supporting LGBTQIA+ rights.
WHEN: June 22nd , 2024, from 10am – 1pm.
Festive welcome and warm up event at 10am. Stride begins at 10:30am. Before and after
the Stride attendees will have access to fun activities such as music, collaborative art, food vendors, and
LGBTQIA+ support organizations.
WHERE: Tualatin Commons on the Lake
GOAL: $5,000 to build upon the inaugural event’s success and see the event grow in our preparation, publicity, community engagement, and event scope. Pride Stride 2024 will be a success when members of our
community feel safe to participate in all aspects of this celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community in Tualatin.
