Tualatin Together has adapted the National Safety Town Center curriculum for our community and will host Tualatin’s inaugural Safety Town in July 2024. Safety Town Tualatin’s goal is to create foundational safety habits for rising kindergarteners to use at home, school, and/or community spaces.
Safety Town uses guest presentations, songs, dance, crafts, and hands-on experiences to teach students basic safe practices with fire, pedestrian, bikes, traffic, buses, water, poison, and emergency preparedness. Safety Town will be overseen and administered by Tualatin Together. Middle and high school students from our community will serve as counselors and junior counselors.
Who is it for
Safety Town Tualatin is for children starting kindergarten or 1st grade in fall of 2024.
Where is it located
Safety Town Tualatin will be hosted at Rolling Hills Community Church at 3550 SW Borland Road, Tualatin, OR 97062. Camp and camp content are not religiously affiliated.
Refund Policy
It is our policy to refund 100% of summer camp registration fees (minus a $20 non-refundable service charge) if your withdrawal notice is given seven or more days before the start date of the program. A 50% refund will be given if withdrawal notice is given less than seven days before the start date of the program. Registration fees are not refunded for withdrawals less than 24 hours before the start of the program.
Waitlist Policy
Once spots in camp are full, please use the RSVP/Waitlist option to add your contact information. As spots open up in the camp, families on the waitlist will be contacted on a first-come, first-served basis (same as registration).
Two Safety Town sessions will be offered: July 15-19 and July 22-26.
The sessions have identical content. To make sure we have space for everyone interested in Safety Town, please register your child for just one session. Camp runs daily from 9am-12pm. Before and after camp care is not available for Safety Town.
